10-Day / 9-Night Great Migration Safari
Day 1: Arrival in Nairobi, Kenya
Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi, where you're met by a representative and transferred to your hotel. Depending on arrival time, enjoy a city tour or optional dinner experience. Overnight at a boutique or luxury hotel in Nairobi.
Day 2: Fly to Maasai Mara – Afternoon Game Drive
Transfer to Wilson Airport for a scenic flight to Maasai Mara. Upon arrival, enjoy a short game drive en route to your luxury tented camp or lodge. After lunch, head out for your first afternoon game drive, where you may see elephants, lions, giraffes, and the beginning of the migrating herds. Sundowners and dinner at camp.
Day 3–4: Full-Day Game Drives in Maasai Mara
Spend two full days tracking the migration herds and Big Five across the plains. Depending on the season (July–October), you may witness Mara River crossings, dramatic predator hunts, or massive herds moving across the grasslands. Optional visit to a Maasai village for a cultural experience. Enjoy gourmet meals, campfire evenings, and unforgettable photo opportunities.
Day 5: Cross to Serengeti – Isebania Border Transfer
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive as you drive toward the Isebania border. Clear immigration and switch to your Tanzanian guide and vehicle. Continue into the northern Serengeti, with game viewing en route. Arrive at your lodge in time for dinner and relaxation.
Day 6–7: Northern & Central Serengeti – Migration Hotspots
Spend two days exploring the vast Serengeti National Park, focusing on migration movement depending on the month — from the Mara River crossings (July–Oct) to the calving season in Ndutu (Dec–March). Watch as wildebeest and zebra traverse predator-rich terrain, with frequent sightings of lions, cheetahs, and leopards.
Day 8: Serengeti – Game Drive to Ngorongoro
Enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before heading southeast toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional stop at Olduvai Gorge, the cradle of mankind. Arrive at your lodge on the crater rim or nearby for dinner and overnight.
Day 9: Ngorongoro Crater Safari
Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and natural sanctuary for the Big Five, including black rhinos and massive elephant bulls. Enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch by the hippo pool. Return to the lodge for your final night on safari.
Day 10: Fly to Arusha – Departure
After breakfast, transfer to Lake Manyara or Serengeti airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Connect to your international flight from Kilimanjaro Airport, or choose to extend your trip with a beach escape in Zanzibar.
